Working through the parent consultancy, I am currently engaged with EDF Energy on one of the UK’s flagship nuclear new build projects. As part of the main DT - civil front office team, my role involves contributing to the successful delivery of key engineering tasks within a highly regulated and collaborative environment.With the responsibility includes: Managing and closing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) through technical evaluation, coordination with design teams, and engagement with site stakeholders.Conducting design reviews in alignment with Eurocodes, project specifications, and nuclear safety requirements, ensuring timely resolution of design-related queries.Interfacing with construction teams to support site execution, provide technical clarifications, and ensure alignment with approved design intent.Contributing to multidisciplinary coordination, working closely with structural, architectural, and MEP teams to support integrated delivery.This role demands a high level of technical rigour, attention to detail, and stakeholder engagement, all within the context of nuclear safety culture and quality assurance frameworks. It has provided me with invaluable exposure to large-scale infrastructure delivery, enhanced my ability to work under stringent regulatory environments, and further strengthened my capability in engineering compliance and governance.
