The Global Epicenter of Mobility (GEM)- funded by a $52.2M Build Back Better Regional Challenge grant from the US EDA. GEM is designed to create a smart, secure, sustainable, and inclusive advanced mobility industry in southeast Michigan. Designed with the 11-county region\'s assets in mind - GEM is comprised of six projects helping workers, companies, startups, and economic development agencies adapt to the rapidly changing mobility industry. Co-recipients include Detroit Regional Partnership, the State of Michigan\'s Office of Future Mobility and Electrification, Southeast Michigan Community Alliance, TechTown, and the University of Michigan Economic Growth Institute.
