Teaching dance as a wellness program for an adult rehabilitation residence. My clients range from 20-50yrs of age. The idea is to move the body and have fun. Get the heart up & the soul happy. I mix it up with all sorts of music genres & dance styles. Mostly jazz funk, but also include hip-hop, salsa, country line dancing, disco,+ more. We do a warmup song, then a core song that has basic choreography, and then a cool down. I keep it simple, get the arms & knees up, with really good music.

ABOUT MONIQUE GUZMÁN
Monique is a fashion designer & multidisciplinary artist whose works of art focus to celebrate, embrace, & call to action the empowerment of women & children, sustainability, and the arts & creativity. She believes that art should be in everything you do. The way you live, work, love, eat, travel, & dress. A Chilean Mexican American artist, Monique\'s art ranges from fashion design, dance, culinary, painting, photography, writing, sculpture, mixed media, interior finishes, jewelry, murals, fashion & media production & much more. She has been published internationally with her avant-garde designs and has been featured in the runways of London Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, & Portland Fashon Week. Monique is also a published writer both in poetry and in business for women leaders. She recently graduated from Film & TV Industry from NYU Tisch school with the future endeavor of film entry to the International Fashion Film Festival. Monique has also been guest judge at the SD Food & Wine Festival. Monique has been creating since a very young age. Sewed her first shirt at 14, & her first sculpture at 16. She believes the world does not need more politicians, corporations, or big pharma. It needs more art. If we all live with \"Arte\" we would all live more authentic, genuine, & passionate lives. Wouldn\'t that be a better world? Monique wants to make the world a better place, by using her talents through art. If you look carefully, she uses and incorporates recycled materials in much of her work. She used plastic bread closures for a belt and made faux sugar flower sculptures out of green plastic bottles. Her mantra is “Con Mucho Arte”
