About Monique Roberts

Monique Roberts, PODS Association Executive Director, has 20 years of experience in energy operations, integrity management, regulatory compliance, and pipeline maintenance. Monique’s career is rooted in pipeline safety through asset knowledge and technology focused on pipeline integrity, compliance, data management, and GIS. Monique\'s leadership, and love for the pipeline community, has shown in how the membership of the PODS (Pipeline Open Data Standard) Association has doubled since January 2022. PODS is a non-profit member driven association which manages and maintains the only worldwide data standard for pipelines. The 200+ pipeline operators, and the service and software companies that support them, in 39 countries have over 3 million miles of pipeline and energy systems in the PODS data model – including hazardous liquids, natural gas, renewables, and water. The PODS Data Standard is the best starting point for implementing a GIS and data management program due to its effectiveness and scalability. She has been a leader with multiple non-profit and trade organizations and has advocated and actively worked to position pipeline infrastructure as a foundation for a clean energy future. Monique is a mulit-generation pipeliner, has a Bachelors in Public Relations and a MBA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She currently lives in Houston, TX with her husband Michael and their dog Lucky.

   The Pipeline Open Data Standard (PODS) Association is a technical organization dedicated to developing and stewarding data standards and data model implementations for the pipeline industry. PODS is a non-profit, membership-driven association comprised of pipeline operators, service providers and vendors. PODS provides its members with a forum to share experience, knowledge, challenges, and solutions via at bi-annual meetings or conferences in the spring and fall and periodic online training and webinars.The Executive Director works directly for the Officers of the Board and closely with other Board of Director members and Technical Committee members. Executing on strategy and plans adopted by the PODS Board of Directors and building upon the existing track record to grow the organization and lead PODS as it advances its program goals and implementation of the strategic plan in the years ahead.
