About Monique McGovern

Monique McGovern is a highly accomplished and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and clinical leader with many years of experience in the field of ABA therapy. Monique started her career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2009 at a multidisciplinary clinic providing direct ABA services to children and adolescents with Autism. Her early training focused on naturalistic strategies that utilized child-led, play-based approaches to therapy such as Pivotal Response Training (PRT). Monique became a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) in 2014 and has been a BCBA since 2015. During the course of her career, she has provided services in a variety of different settings including in-home, clinics, schools, and community-based environments with a wide range of clients and families.Since 2017, Monique has held several senior leadership positions at acclaimed ABA companies where she was responsible for starting and scaling brand new ABA companies while prioritizing clinical quality across 10+ states to ensure world-class treatment was provided to hundreds of children. Monique’s innovative approach to treatment delivery combined with her unwavering commitment to clinical excellence has forever touched the lives of her many clients and their families. Monique’s unwavering dedication to mentoring the next generation of BCBAs is demonstrated by her servant-leadership approach and her ability to foster an exceptional company culture and a collaborative work environment in order to maximize the well-being of her team. With a keen sense of purpose, Monique ensures that Headway’s core values are upheld in every facet of our operations. Monique holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology from Northeastern University, received her Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from Sacred Heart University and completed her certification in Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern University. She is also a lifetime member of Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology.
