Monique is a Director of Communications and Corporate Partnerships at LEAP, a non-profit organization that provides arts-based learning experiences to culturally rich and vibrant school communities impacted by systemic under-resourcing. With over 20 years of executive and managerial experience in the creative and non-profit sectors, she is an innovative fundraising architect and thought leader who nurtures corporate partnerships and offers philanthropic entities unique opportunities to visually express their commitment to racial equity and social justice. Monique holds a Master\'s degree in Human Services from Lincoln University, an HBCU institution, where she studied Applied Systems Theory, Social Policy, and Counseling Psychology. These fields have been instrumental in her professional journey, as she has catalyzed the evolution of LEAP\'s arts programs in the Bronx, expanded her influence as a Deputy Supervising Director of Afterschool Programs before transitioning to LEAP\'s growing Development Team, and continuously intertwines her passion for art with her professional commitments. Monique is also a Spoken Word Artist, former National Slam Poet, and 2Spirit Afro Indigenous Jazz and Blues singer, with a legacy of professional opera singers, dancers, and musicians in her family.
