About Monina Knox

In all honesty, I never thought I would actually be a nurse. I grew up believing that I would one day be in a career related to art, designing clothes being a fashionista (I know, don’t laugh!), or something related to dancing. Though that was the case, I always knew I was going to go to College for Nursing (like everyone else in my family – Doctors, RNs, NPs). In fact, I remember always volunteering at a young age at my mother’s hospitals and facilities. I accepted my fate!Despite my denial, once I started Nursing College I truly fell in love. I always felt that we all had a purpose in this world and that mine was to help others. Nursing fulfills that for me. The one thing I\'ve always had in me is compassion. I have the passion for helping people and being kind. With nursing, I am able to feed that hunger and it satisfies me that I am able to connect with others on a personal level, to build strong therapeutic relationships and make a difference in their lives.Another great part of being a nurse is that there are endless learning opportunities. It is a career where having the willingness and curiosity to learn is a huge benefit. I plan on continuing my education and to further grow. I am also looking forward to helping build servant leaders along the way. I am excited for what the future holds for me and for those around me. You are welcome to join me on this wild ride.
