Former Associate and Assistant Producer of the NPR Jazz program \"JazzSet with Branford Marsalis.\" Monifa Brown has also had the pleasure of working for George Wein\'s Festival Productions and she has had the distinction of being a special guest of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival which she covered for both Down Beat Magazine and WBGO and the Marciac Jazz Festival. She was also an on camera reporter for the BET program \"Future Wave\" hosted by Herbie Hancock and she has contributed writing to numerous publications including Essence Magazine. She has contributed liner notes for several jazz recordings and has written biographies and various promotional material for jazz artists on Blue Note Records, Columbia Records, Verve Records and elsewhere.
