Assist with workforce development initiatives to optimize and coordinate internships and military fellowships in addition to programs, initiatives and professional development activities for the National & Homeland Security Directorate. • Establish and maintain relationships with department managers to increase overall participation in workforce activities.• Manage military transition programs and provide individual coaching and support to transitioning service members, including career, education, and general transition to civilian life.• Engage with project and department managers to help identify mentors; support mentors through the complete internship and military fellowship experience.• Coordinate intern and military fellow selection, placements, engagements; oversee participant experiences for programs within N & HS from selection and onboarding through total experience.• Non-technical point of contact for DoD Air Force Fellow program, providing operational support through duration of assignment.• Facilitate inclusive enrichment activities for interns, military fellows, and mentors focused on important areas of developmental interest within the directorate.• Develop intern and mentor reporting and tracking methods; use software to respond to ad hoc data requests and support program and project reporting.• Support university, military academy, and military branch collaboration and outreach; socialize opportunities with appropriate contacts and encourage participation in outreach events.• Coordinate with internal staff to create inclusive material that showcases the Workforce Development department, internship programs, military fellowships, and other engagements opportunities.
