Like most of us working in election administration, I fell into the field by accident - and was lucky enough to find to find a passion and community I\'ve been serving ever since. My early work in the field focused on technology transfer, partnering with of election officials, researchers, and policymakers to make new ideas both practical and useful. Supporting state and local election administrators across the country gave me a deep appreciation for the challenges of day-to-day election administration, but it also taught me that there are enormous opportunities to move the field forward. In recent years I\'ve been working on strategies to do just that, leveraging research, training, and funding to support broad improvements in election administration.
