   At Alnylam Pharmaceutical, I took on the role of Associate Director of Strategic Sourcing for Research & Development, where I played a pivotal role in shaping the company\'s strategic direction and optimizing operational efficiency. With a budget of approximately $200M, I was responsible for defining and implementing strategies for Early Discovery Research and Early Development.Working in a fast-paced environment, I successfully supported multiple categories, including Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Facilities, Informatics, and Bioinformatics. By leveraging my expertise, I ensured seamless collaboration between these departments and facilitated the smooth execution of projects.Lead, manage, direct, develop, and coach direct reports focused on global external spend categories and sourcing support with suppliers of goods and / or services to major internal stakeholders / functions, and create a team environment that drives high colleague engagement.One of my key responsibilities was leading the outsourcing strategy for pre-clinical stage projects. I worked closely with external suppliers to identify suitable partners and negotiate contracts for the purchase of Capital Equipment and Consumables for the laboratories.
