About Monica Syal
I am passionate about solving challenging engineering problems that have a real impact on the society. My current dream is to see electric aviation (eVTOL and eCTOL) become a reality to enable UAM and beyond. These airplanes have a tremendous potential to make urban flight safer, quieter, and cheaper, while being environment friendly.I am an expert in solving complex aerodynamics of unconventional eVTOL configurations. I modeled the interactional aerodynamics of Vahana, which is a tandem tiltwing eVTOL with 8 fans. I have 13+ years of experience being an aerospace engineer. My technical strengths include eVTOL and rotorcraft aerodynamics, dynamics, design optimization and high-performance computing. I love to learn new skills, and am quick to grasp new concepts. I am also passionate to motivate and mentor other engineers on the way. I have a positive outlook to life, and love building and working with fun teams where everyone uplifts others, and helps bring the best out of each other while creating a state-of-the-art product.
