Raise your hand if you’re a hungry caterpillar fan! So excited to announce I will be joining the company of Childsplay in “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” As the swing for all roles, opening Sunday at the Herberger. I grew up watching Childsplay shows, counting down the days till school field trips to see Childsplay and now, I’m delighted to be making magic on stage for other kids, just like me. Only thing left to do is come see the show!

ABOUT MONICA SAMPSON
Actor - Director - Intimacy Coordinator - Feminist Activist - Monica Sampson is an award-winning Actor, Director, and Intimacy Coordinator. Having Graduated with honors in a double major from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, in Broadcast Journalism and Theater with a Pre-Law minor; Monica understands the power media has to educate, inspire, and inform. Her experience spans internationally to the West End, to Shakespeare’s Globe Theater in London, where she trained in a production of Hamlet. Sampson’s credits include Off-Broadway work, films, and commercials. Sampson directs and acts locally in Arizona; and has been featured on NPR, PBS, NBC, The Phoenix Theatre Company, Childsplay, ATC, and more. As an Intimacy Coordinator, Sampson has credits on TV, Films, and on local stages; Sampson is the Resident Intimacy Coordinator for Stray Cat Theatre and is in the process of continuing her education to be a SAG certified Intimacy Coordinator through the Principal Intimacy Program, with the Screen Actors Guild. Sampson wants to remind everyone that the sexiest thing you can do on and off stage is, ask for consent! Outside of her professional life, Monica enjoys musicals, bunny rabbits, and singing along to Barbra Streisand.
