About Monica Rathamani
My passion for digital technologies and the power of data driven businesses and their impact on our human life had motivated me to pursue Management studies to specialize in Strategy Management and Digital Business Models. During the summer after graduation, I had undertaken a freelance project on building Digital Maturity & Readiness Index model and tool for organisations, to measure the organisations readiness and technological advancement in comparison with the industry and its peers. Currently, I have been part of Sterlite Power and have undertaken projects in Sterlite School Tech, which is the CSR arm of the sister company Sterlite Technologies. I have leveraged my expertise in strategy and operations to set up monitoring & evaluation framework for the project “Pragyan”. The Indian education sector is yet to extract the fullest potential of the huge data collected by the Government. Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) and Sterlite School Tech partnered to analyse the data collected from 1200+ MCGM schools and aid forming key strategies. I have spearheaded the pilot phase of analysing the baseline exams scores of 6th standard students and have presented the key trends and statistical significance of variables including student gender, language of instruction influencing the students’ performance. I had worked in BOSCH as a software engineer, developing AUTOSAR software for BMW Hybrids. In addition, had automated unit-testing with successful reduction of 60% cost. Being independent had taught me hard life lessons on avoiding burns and scars(almost) while cooking, to take care of myself (close calls after being burnt) and discover and rejuvenate my love for music, painting, and friends & family.
