Monitoring of materials production progress to ensure on time delivery to shipyards. Confer with suppliers/sub-suppliers to assess the progress and discuss needed changes and recovery action to mitigate delay. Interface with other departments: PM teams, Purchasing and Technical Department, Shipyard Production Control.In this position I am leading two teams. The first team (6 expediters and 1 responsible) is dedicated to Main Items: nearly items/year delivered to 8 shipyards, 15 ships at different stage of construction, provided by more than 100 direct suppliers (both Italian and foreigner). The second team (6 expediters and 1 responsible) is committed to Public Area Materials: we monitor, and support, more than 10 turn-key main contractors while expediting their main sub-suppliers. In 2023 we work on 13 ships ( 6 delivered within the year).

I am a mechanical engineer with more than 20 years of working experience in shipbuilding industry.I had the opportunity to work in different roles and environments, inside my company.As a result of cross-sector involvement in Design, Production Control, Planning and Supply Chain, I can easily change perspective and I have developed an overall view of process.I am part of Fincantieri Facilitators Network: a group of 175 colleagues, coming from several departments and sites in Italy. Being a facilitator means dedicate oneself to put into practice group values, by becoming promoter of change, putting communication and collaborative spirit first. Daily.
