My primary legal focus is with (a) business purchases & sales (b) corporate & commercial law (c) real estate & leasing (d) wills & estate planning (e) franchise law & (f) financings.Business purchases and sales are often complex transactions requiring a multi-disciplinary legal awareness to clearly understand, and properly address, applicable corporate & commercial, employment, intellectual property, real estate, and tax law & tax planning considerations. I have incorporated, and my office acts as the registered office for, a significant number of corporate clients covering a very wide spectrum of business activities and ventures. Further, I advise and implement on behalf of my corporate clients, a wide array of corporate transactions including, amalgamations, dissolutions, estate freezes and other business succession structures, and unanimous shareholders agreements. I also provide routine legal services for my corporate clients, including filing the necessary documents and preparing corporate resolutions to keep their corporations current and in good standing with corporate registries.On the real estate side, I have significant residential real estate experience providing legal services in respect of financings, mortgages, purchases and sales of homes. I also provide legal services in respect of commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, condominium development and sales, financing, leasing, and property developments to meet the commercial objectives of my business clients including real estate developers, builders, investors, sellers, entrepreneurs, and owners and tenants of commercial and industrial buildings.Finally, with respect to wills and estate planning, I prepare all the legal documents which allows my individual clients to have a say as to who will manage his or her estate, how assets will be distributed, and who will care for dependents. I also draft proper powers of attorney and personal directives in the event of incapacity.
