ABOUT MONICA MONDRIK

I am a highly motivated professional with over 30 years of healthcare experience. I graduated from the LVN to ADN transition program at Wharton County Junior College and completed the RN NCLEX in June of 2015. In December of 2018, I completed the RN-BSN program and earned my Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Texas at Arlington. I have extensive experience in a broad number of healthcare areas: managed care (Commercial Products, Managed Medicaid and Managed Medicare), hospital operations, finance (Commercial and Medicare reimbursements), case management and appeals management. Fifteen years of experience in long term acute care hospital (LTACH) operations, business development, rate negotiation, preadmission criteria, appeal submission and documentation. Four years of experience with a commercial healthcare company: precertification, utilization management and case management both in Commercial and Managed Medicaid products working knowledge of Milliman and Interqual Criteria. Three years acute care case management experience. Performance of multiple tasks in professional and deadline-oriented environments, handling matters of complex and confidential nature utilizing critical thinking skills. Able to work independently with little supervision while handling numerous projects at once. Research and analysis of commercial financial/statistical data and commercial referral to admit conversion Proficiency in computer use and programs in business applications. Proven skills with creation and utilization of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets for operational information and management reporting. Experience in Developing the local Market Managed Care Strategy, in collaboration with other market colleagues and execution of the local Markets Managed Care Strategy by serving as a critical liaison between the market\'s managed care payers and facility operators
