As Governance Lead for the PMO supporting the Control Center Modernization project at SoCalGas, I manage governance operations across a diverse portfolio of 18 projects, including construction, field engineering, and technology. I have been with this program since the beginning, and stood up a robust yet flexible PMO with the ability to drive standardization across a wide range of projects. I lead project governance (let\'s all speak the same language!), milestone setting and tracking, and manage integrated program schedules and deliverables. With the support of the many initiative leads, portfolio managers, and our program director, I have been able to establish and maintain project frameworks that ensure visibility, accountability, and delivery excellence. Though a remote team member, I have built relationships not only within the program, but also with our stakeholders, enabling me to right-size our PMO and the approach needed for a successful implementation. In 2024, I was presented \"The Unity Award,\" voted on by our team as a member who is successful in weaving a thread through our project, creating a cohesive culture, and bringing the everyone together.
