The students inevitably are also exposed to some important life lessons with regard to teamwork and constructive conflict in the process.

ABOUT MONEER AZZAM
The Arabic origin of the name Moneer (also spelled Munir and Mounir) is shining or luminous. It is perhaps destiny that I have spent much of my career in the photovoltaic and solid-state lighting industries. Energy storage, power generation, efficiency, load management, “smart city” and micro-enterprise are also part of my industry repertoire. My mission in life is to help develop tools and practices that will enable the planet’s eight Billion people (and growing) to co-exist and thrive in the coming decades and centuries to come. Part and parcel of this mission is a long-standing commitment and passion to finding ways for civilization to reduce its carbon footprint and address global climate change. I have approached this mission applying skills that I learned through schooling/training in engineering and expanded throughout my extensive career as a product manager, director of marketing & sales, CTO and founder/CEO of a pioneering company in advanced infrastructure and energy tech industry. In the last role, I gained over fifteen years of experience bootstrapping resources, growing the business, developing products, and managing operations. I orchestrated acquisitions and integration of companies from both the buy and sell sides.
