About Sudipta Mondal

Measurement, Learning, and Evaluation (MLE) specialist with over 20 years of progressive experience in non-profit sector in India. I am currently working as Senior Director - MLE in Project Concern International (PCI) India and have held several senior positions in MLE in many international agencies including in the Department for International Development (DFID) as Results and Evaluation Adviser for its country programs in India. With a firm grip on theoretical aspects, I come with practical experience of using diverse approaches and methods for conducting impact evaluations and social and development research esp. in the domain of public health, social and gender norms, and social protection. I am adept in developing evaluation frameworks for projects, programs, and policies and has led multiple evaluation studies using experimental (RCTs), quasi-experimental (RDD, DID, PSM), mixed methods, theory-based, and participatory approaches. I hold a Master’s in Economics, M. Phil and Ph. D in Population Studies and Diploma in Management. I am also the Principal Investigator for USAID funded and administered by the US National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) Partnerships for Enhanced Engagement in Research (PEER) Grant for conducting primary research on family planning in India. I am a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and Change Management Team (CMT) and I share the responsibility for ensuring organizational growth and excellence. I am proficient in English, Hindi and Bengali.
