About Monami Chakraborty

I am a biomedical scientist with ten-plus years of research experience in the field of molecular biology and biochemistry. I have research experience as a Ph.D. trainee as well as a post-doctoral fellow in labs specializing in molecular biology and biochemistry, neuroscience, animal model study, drug development, toxicology, molecular genetics, genetic engineering, real-time based analysis, and general cell biology, immune-histochemistry, and microscopy. I have worked on several projects related to Cell and Gene Therapy, neuroscience and cell biology. I have published research work in international peer reviewed journals. I favor interdisciplinary research approaches to answer critical biological questions as it provides a better understanding of its molecular mechanism. I am confident that my prior research experience has groomed my knowledge and critical thinking. I am very effective in communication with my colleagues, and other team members of the research collaborator. In summary, my work ethic, discipline, professionalism, expertise, and desire to learn more, as well as my abilities to produce quality results in relevant research areas allow me to successfully complete my research goals.

   Drive projects to meet established timeline while maintaining the highest quality and data integrity standards.* Develop and optimize analytical methods including (but not limited to) flow cytometry, cell counts/viability, qPCR/ddPCR, ELISA, etc.* Establish and author SOPs/procedures for methods developed.* As work involves validating assays (such as qPCR and ddPCR for RCL/RCR, VCN, Mycoplasma, Genomic titer) in strict adherence to FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines, directly supporting the documentation required for clinical stages.* Maintain accurate and updated lab notebooks.* Maintain equipment and records for maintenance, calibration and operation. Contribute to maintenance of laboratory inventories.* Analyze data for trends and recommendations for scientific staff.
