Program Development and Expansion: Successfully grew Social Services programs from seven (7) in 2015 to 19 currently, demonstrating an exceptional ability to strategize and implement program initiatives. Implemented over 35 supplemental programs during eight (8) years of Executive Leadership at NHA.Adult/Senior Services: Advocated for improved adult and senior services, including home-visiting mental health programs for seniors, day programs for adults with health or disabling conditions, and COVID-19 targeted response during the State of Emergency. Behavioral Health Services: Increased 5-year contract amount from 8 million to 30 million by adding substance use treatment to the BPSR recovery model. Added short-term intensive case management to clients released from psychiatric emergency treatment hospital. COVID-19 Services: Directed COVID-19 health education to San Diegans during COVID-19 pandemic and prioritized public health initiatives to secure the safety of underserved communitiesHIV/Aids Services: Increased program capacity to Central and North Central San DiegoHomeless Outreach: Distributed bags of food, wearable sleeping bags, and goodie bags to local community to reach the most vulnerable population and participated in WeAllCount initiative for 10 years Perinatal Services: Increased number of pregnant Black women served in San Diego by extending prenatal and postnatal education and case management services to North County San Diego. Reentry Services: Increased services available for people with an incarceration history, including post-release nursing services and faith-based services and improved HIV/AIDS, mental health, substance use treatment, and co-occurring treatment pathways within NHA’s Continuum of Care Model.
