Hi, I\'m Mona Houjazy, a Brandeis University student triple majoring in Biology, Neuroscience, and Psychology, with a strong passion for research, patient care, and advancing healthcare equity.I currently work at McLean Hospital in the Imaging Department, where I help coordinate both clinical and research MRI workflows. I support individuals with psychiatric and neurological conditions by ensuring a safe, respectful, and accommodating imaging experience. I also manage appointment scheduling, imaging systems, and provider communication using platforms like Epic and PowerShare.At Brandeis, I’m pursuing an honors thesis in Neuroscience through the Jerome A. Schiff Undergraduate Fellows Program, investigating how spatial frequency processing impacts short-term memory. I designed and programmed the experiment using MATLAB and PsychoPy, and analyze behavioral data using R.Outside of school and research, I volunteer at the Watertown Boys & Girls Club, where I mentor youth ages 7–17. I help lead educational and recreational activities that support emotional growth, school readiness, and positive social development.I\'m especially interested in the intersection of neuroscience, cognition, and clinical care and I hope to continue building a career that blends research, community service, and patient-centered work.
