About Mona F.

My quest for entertainment and Mass Media began in the late \'80s while attending a HBCU, GSU; which instilled the fundamentals of journalism, television production and radio communication. The vast world of broadcast lead to becoming an on air personality, copywriter for advertisers, voice over professional, in addition to learning the basics of researching facts for reporting local/national and entertainment news. Working in the media industry aroused my curiosity for the business of entertainment, combined with the new world of branding through social media, youtube and much more.Once returning to the West coast, I landed a position as a marketing consultant for Desert Sky Media. During the early \'00, Desert Sky Media owned V108, where Tom Joyner and Michael Baisden shows resided, in addition to the Oasis Smooth Jazz-105.7. Being employed at DSM opened a sea of opportunities in Las Vegas, Nevada so much after the departure of that radio station.While employed at at & t, I founded Action Words Entertertainment, which directed me to freelance writing for EXAMINER/AXS and CBS Las Vegas Local for a period of seven years. In 2018, I worked as an independent contractor for Power 88.1 FM, a public radio/digital TV station, which was an eye opening experience that ended after an unbelievable eleven months. Nowadays, my desire is to continue the journey as a publicist for selective artists\',(Referral only) in addition a writer and brand specialist. On top of that, I\'m the founder, co-owner and creative director of the original wearable blankets, aka LAX; in fact, just reLAX, more to come!
