ABOUT MOLLY JENKINS
I am an experienced strategic communicator with a demonstrated history of experience in public affairs, politics, policy, and media relations. Before joining Purple Strategies, I was the Communications Director for Congressman Mike Garcia, where I built and implemented the press operation for one of the most competitive congressional seats in the country. I also served as Communications Director for Congressman Greg Walden, the Republican Leader of the House Energy and Commerce Committee (E&C), and as a press secretary for E&C and the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee. I have media trained Members of Congress; achieved top-tier, high-funnel media placement; directed crisis communications during natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic; and developed messaging on key policy initiatives to guide the GOP Conference. I have a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Journalism from Texas Christian University and a minor in nutrition studies. I am pursing a Master’s of Communication with a concentration in Health Communications and Public and Media Relations from the Johns Hopkins University.
