TLI seeks to strengthen and help build healthy communities through investment in key community services including healthcare, education and childcare, support services, as well as employment opportunities. TLI takes a comprehensive approach to lending and investment, and believes providing flexible capital to our borrowers is one important component in revitalizing communities and alleviating poverty. The Life Initiative (TLI) is a $100 million dollar community investment fund created in by Massachusetts-based life insurance companies. TLI has invested over $500 million in affordable housing developments, commercial properties, businesses and community facilities in the last 10 years. We are a flexible lender, with a creative approach to lending and an efficient, streamlined process. Our loan officers build ongoing relationships with our borrowers, who are some of the most productive and well-respected non-profit and for profit developers and business owners in the state.
