ABOUT MOLLY BROWN

I am an interdisciplinary PhD student at the University of York studying ivory demand. My research sets out to tackle the complexities of ivory demand using social and natural science methods, i.e, social marketing and conservation science, to assess the efficacy of demand reduction interventions. My background is in Mandarin Chinese language and cultural studies and African ecology and conservation management. So, I hope to bring a holistic, diversified perspective to my research that speaks directly to improving demand-side interventions for long-term wildlife trade reduction.
