About Molly Podolefsky
Molly is an energy and sustainability industry leader with experience spanning decarbonization, the utilities and energy sector, finance and investment, consulting team development and business management. After earning her PhD in energy and environmental economics, Molly joined Guidehouse (formerly Navigant) engaging with a wide array of public and private companies and governmental agencies, directing multi-year, multi-million-dollar engagements in energy efficiency and sustainability. Early in her career she worked primarily with public and private electric and gas utilities, providing evaluation, measurement and verification (EM & V) for energy efficiency and demand side resources program portfolios, designing and leading reconciliation processes for regulated utilities, assisting with regulatory compliance and reporting, and conducting research on a broad range of specialized energy efficiency topics including renewable energy and DERs, grid modernization, EV adoption, smart and connected devices, electric customer 8760 loadshape and customer archetype development, load disaggregation and residential and commercial utility DR programs. Expanding her focus beyond utilities and the power sector to broader corporate sustainability, Molly designed, built and led Guidehouse’s global ESG solutions practice, delivering sustainability engagements to a broad array of companies, from Fortune 100 to startups spanning a wide range of industries. In this capacity, Molly built and led teams in NA and India, facilitating collaboration with teams and clients across NA, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Joining Stern Investor Relations in 2022, Molly supported start ups and SMID-cap biotech firms in developing decarbonization and sustainability plans, and working with private equity, venture capital firms helping startups successfully prepare for exit and IPO.In 2024 Molly joined Clarum Advisors, leveraging her deep domain and consulting experience to support industry-leading clean-technology companies in bringing new technologies to market. Leveraging her expertise in utilities and the power sector, grid modernization, demand response, VPPs and the grid-edge software ecosystem, in tandem with market research, competitive analysis, go-to-market strategy advising, product positioning and value proposition definition, strategic partnership and network development, she enables companies to thrive in rapidly evolving, competitive markets.
