I am a freelance Phone Operator for Radio 2’s All Request Friday with Sara Cox. I work in a live environment taking calls from listeners, assessing on air suitability and writing production notes for the producer and presenter. Daily job tasks- Speak to listeners about their song request and weekend plans where I determine on air suitability and, if suitable, prepare them to go live on air- Write succinct production notes for the producers and presenter - Make informed judgements to help producers decide which stories should go on air- Ensure that informed consent is given, taking additional care where children may be involved in calls- Adhere to health and safety requirements by confirming with callers that they must not appear on air whilst driving- Fact check that songs requested can go out on air.Technical experience- Bionic Studio
