ABOUT SHIVA KUMAR
PhD Scholar at the Centre for Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Latin American Studies, School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and UGC-JRF (2022) awardee, with a strong record of academic excellence and international engagement. My research is shaped by interdisciplinary and transnational perspectives, supported by an ICSSR-funded research stay in Mexico. I have presented papers at the University of Bristol (UK), National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Jawaharlal Nehru University, and the University of Delhi, and delivered invited talks at El Colegio de México, UNAM, and Universidad Politécnica de México.I have also contributed to academic leadership as Student Coordinator for the International Conference on Hispanism (2025). Trained in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (80-hour certification), I serve as a Teaching Assistant for Spanish language courses. Alongside academia, I engaged in theatre as Assistant Director and Light Designer for Historia de una escalera (2024), integrating cultural practice with scholarly inquiry.
