As a Research Engineer at PERM Inc, I apply my PhD in Chemical Engineering and my skills in hydrogels, HTFS, and sonication to develop novel technologies for the enhanced oil recovery sector. I have over three years of experience in conducting cutting-edge research and collaborating with academic and industrial partners to deliver innovative solutions that are efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. My current project focuses on addressing the PHPAM gel damage in the field, which is a common challenge for heavy oil producers. I have designed and optimized a sonication unit that can continuously degrade gel without shutting down surface facilities, based on the salinity of produced fluid and polymer concentration. This method has proven to be more effective than traditional chemical agents in improving oil recovery and reducing operational costs. My goal is to advance the science and engineering of gel degradation and contribute to the sustainability and profitability of the heavy oil industry.
