ABOUT MOIRA COX
I am the Deputy Head Academic at Stamford School, with responsibility for the academic life for our Year 7 - 13 students. My particular interests include: cognitive load theory and its applications in the classroom; developing student independence and resilience; effective leadership in schools; and supporting professional development of others through both mentoring and coaching.In addition to my academic responsibilities, I am fully involved in the co-curricular life of the school. I support Oxbridge and medicine applicants, as well as being a trained assessor and supervisor for Duke of Edinburgh expeditions at Bronze and Silver level.
