As a Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) Network Engineer, My primary tasks involve designing, deploying, managing, and troubleshooting ACI-based data center networks. Here’s a high-level overview of My key tasks:1. ACI Fabric Deployment Design and Plan ACI Architecture Understand application requirements and design a scalable ACI fabric, including spine-leaf architecture, fabrics, and tenants. ACI Setup, Deploy ACI switches (Nexus series) and controllers (APICs) to create the fabric. Integration with Existing Infrastructure, Integrate the ACI fabric with existing network components, such as traditional switches, routers, and firewalls.2. Tenant and Application Profile Configuration.Create Tenants, Set up tenants in ACI, which are logical entities representing different organizations or business units.Configure Endpoint Groups (EPGs), Define groups of endpoints (e.g, servers, virtual machines) that share common network policies.3: Policy and Security ConfigurationDefine Network Policies, Configure ACI policies for QoS, VLANs, contracts, and filtering between EPGs. Set Up Security, Implement security policies like micro-segmentation, contracts, and access controls between different EPGs and tenants.4. VXLAN and Overlay Network Configuration.Overlay Network Design, Configure VXLAN overlays for tenant segmentation and create virtual networks (VRFs).Inter-VRF Routing, Configure inter-VRF routing using either ACI’s native routing capabilities or integrating with external routers.Automation and OrchestrationACI Automation, Utilize ACI’s built-in automation features for provisioning and policy enforcement.Monitor Fabric Health**: Use ACI\'s monitoring tools (such as APIC GUI, CLI, and Cisco Prime) to track the health of the fabric, devices, and endpoints. Use Cisco ACI Analytics, Leverage ACI’s telemetry and analytics capabilities to track performance, health, and usage metrics.
