I currently serve as VP, Assistant General Counsel at Zillow - focusing on our Premier Agent, New Construction, Rentals, StreetEasy, Mortgages and closing services business lines and strategic business partnerships. I specialize in real estate, mortgage banking and title regulatory compliance and have developed a special expertise in the area of joint ventures and affiliated businesses in the RESPA landscape. I am passionate about building teams and processes that contribute to the success of the company - linking strategy to structure.Prior to Zillow, I served as SVP, Associate General Counsel at loanDepot leading the mortgage origination team, real estate joint ventures and legal support for the mellohome business line. I also spent 8 years as General Counsel and EVP of Operations at Hunter Financial Group where I married my legal background with my operational strengths. My professional experience also includes 4 years as an Attorney in Phoenix at the law firm of Ryley, Carlock and Applewhite in the real estate and finance group, and 2 years as counsel at CSK Auto in private practice in real estate development.
