About Mohit Verma

As a Director of Preclinical and Translational Development at ImmunityBio, I lead a cross-functional team of scientists and collaborators to design and execute nonclinical studies that support the advancement of novel immunotherapies and vaccines for cancer and infectious diseases. With over 15 years of experience in the field including my PhD work in Clinical Pathology, I have a strong knowledge of the drug discovery to development continuum, and the regulatory requirements and guidelines for IND submissions and clinical trials. My expertise lies in establishing preclinical pharmacology and translational drug development programs for various therapeutic platforms, such as antibodies, cytokines, gene and cell therapies, small molecules and vaccines. I also oversee the development and validation of clinical biomarkers and assays to monitor drug response and resistance. My mission is to bridge the gap between research and clinical development, and to deliver safe and effective treatments to patients in need. I have contributed to multiple publications, patents, and IND applications, and have received several awards and honors for my work.
