About Mohit Verma

I’m a psychology postgrad student interested in how mental health is shaped by culture, identity, class, and technology. My academic journey has deepened my curiosity about the ways social structures and inequalities influence emotional life and access to care. Along the way, I’ve had the chance to engage with questions around how belief systems influence tolerance, how social environments police behaviour, and how technology is quietly changing the ways we care for minds. Outside of psychology, I’m curious about everything from gender and sexuality to neuroscience, religion, human rights, and how culture shapes the way we think and feel. I enjoy conversations and projects that question the obvious and make space for stories we don’t hear often enough. Through clinical, community, and military mental health internships, as well as research and volunteer work, I’ve learned that understanding people means paying attention to what’s unsaid as much as what’s spoken.Still learning, still unlearning, and hoping to keep asking better questions along the way.
