With over 17 years of leadership experience across Corporate Banking, Strategy, Commercial Banking, Bharat Banking, and Fintech, I currently serve as a Board of Director at Freecharge and oversee the Centre of Excellence with a focus on Co-lending, partnerships, and Bharat Banking at Axis Bank.In my previous role as the Managing Director of Freecharge, a leading payments and lending fintech, we strategically focused on Consumer Payments and lending, Merchant business, and PAPG businesses.During my tenure as Executive Vice President, Bharat Banking at Axis Bank, I played a pivotal role in scaling the Corporate Agri/Bharat MSME business, achieving growth of ~2.5X in just 2 years. Through the introduction of innovative products and strategic expansion, we effectively addressed the diverse needs of MSMEs in Bharat\'s semi-urban and rural markets, fostering growth, development, financial inclusion, and innovation. Notably, I also established innovative business lines, such as Co-Lending and Nano Loans.Before this, I led the commercial banking segments for Axis Bank, catering to customers with a turnover of up to Rs 250 crores, adding to my granular experience in the financial sector. I\'ve played a key role in driving strategic initiatives, including the acquisition of Freecharge, making strategic investments, and successfully fundraising 1.8 billion for Axis Bank from Bain and other investors.During my initial years as the head of the project advisory group, my specialization was in structured finance, syndicated loans, and financial advisory. This centered around large corporates and infrastructure businesses, helping to gain a strong foothold in the Corporate Banking segment.My career has been shaped by transformative thinking, a willingness to take calculated risks, and a passion for driving change in the ever-evolving financial landscape.
