Most organizations don’t fail because of poor strategy. They fail when execution breaks down inside complex systems.That’s the space I’ve spent most of my career working in.I spent close to two decades in the Indian Navy, leading engineering, procurement, and operational programs across India, Mauritius and the Maldives. In high-pressure environments, I learned a simple truth: when complexity rises, clarity, structure, and disciplined execution matter more than clever solutions.What surprised me later was how transferable that lesson is.In business, the same problems show up during growth and change. Too many moving parts. Decisions stuck between functions. Teams working hard, but systems not holding up. I see this clearly in my work at JLL, where I focus on operations, governance, and assurance across multiple accounts. The goal is not process for its own sake, but operating systems that perform reliably under pressure.My work today sits in the messy middle. Between product intent, procurement reality, and delivery execution.This is where costs quietly escalate, delays normalize, and accountability gets blurred.
