Internship Experience: J&K Tourism Department (Rajouri District)During my internship with the J&K Tourism Department as an Assistant in Tourism (AD Tourism) for the Rajouri District, I had the privilege of contributing to the study and promotion of tourism in the Pir Panjal region, encompassing the districts of Rajouri and Poonch.Key Focus Areas: • Conducted an in-depth study of tourism potential in the region, including identifying unexplored tourist destinations. • Explored traditional culture, local heritage sites, and the historical significance of Rajouri and its surroundings. • Researched and documented insights into the rich heritage and scenic beauty of the Pir Panjal Mountains. • Engaged in photography to capture the natural landscapes, cultural vibrancy, and architectural marvels of the region.This hands-on experience enhanced my skills in tourism research, cultural studies, and visual storytelling, while also deepening my appreciation for the diverse history and natural beauty of Jammu & Kashmir.The internship inspired me to continue working towards promoting the untapped tourism potential of this magnificent region and to contribute to sustainable tourism development.
