ABOUT MOHAN SIRCHABESAN

I have 20+ years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry. I have held roles in Process Engineering Design/Process Safety, Operations Support and Supervision, Economic & Scheduling. My experience on water treatment and utilities spans the entire project cycle – from design to Commissioning & startup to Operational support Highlights • As process engineer I have hands on process design experience. Process design have always includes process safety aspects of the design. My project sizes varied from small project to mega projects in all phases of the project. • I have also worked on water & utility master plan studies for different assets where the current health of the systems were studied. Then operational improvements were implemented along with capital project programs were initiated to serve the growing needs of the asset. Part of the capital program was also to improve the reliability of the units • I have managed teams which have been involved in process design at Engineering companies (Worley Parsons Canada and SNC Lavalin Canada). I have formally and informally coached and mentored engineers across various organization and countries. • On stakeholder management, I have experience from managing a wide variety of stakeholder from front line to site & regional leadership teams. This has included internal as well as external stakeholders – clients, JV partners. • I have a continuous improvement mindset. I have applied this in my day to day work. Examples include streamlining DG1 funnel process at Pearl GTL, Business plan cycle at Scotford, Process safety assessment workflow at Pearl GTL. • My role as and Economist and my experience in front end project development has led me to understand the end to end value chain of the business. This has also taught me to understand how to value an opportunity.
