Currently leading a team in a fast paced start up like environment to invent the future and define the next generation of how customers watch video using AWS, 2D/3D computer vision, scalable visual effects (VFX), and machine learning.Previously I was the Lead Engineer on the ecommerce platform team at Zulily, a Seattle-based online retailer that launches a new store every day. I have expertise in building scalable services for millions of concurrent users, I started my career working in Egypt’s startup scene. Then went to Arrow Electronics, where I spearheaded big data initiatives. I have a master’s degree in computer science and I am active member of several open source communities.
