Project: Crew Scheduling System (CSS) is the Crew tracking system used to assign Crew Members to flights in accordance with applicable federal regulations, contract provisions, company policy and procedures.There are two departments using CSS. Flight Ops for managing assignments of pilots and Inflight for managing assignments of Flight AttendantsThere are two applications under CSS, one works as management tool for the Planners, Schedulers, Trainers, Payroll and the other as a Self Service tool for Crew Members as below:1. CSS Client for Scheduling,Training Scheduling, Planning,Payroll group for administrative work.2. CWA for Crew Members for Self Service like trading vacation, trips, vacancy bidding, Open Time Bidding etc.Most of the functionalities of these two versions are overlapping and similar to one another but there are subtle differences that distinguish Flight Ops from Cabin Services-Inflight.CSS is considered as a business critical (Required To Fly) application. Its unavailability may lead to very high impact on the Business and its users (Planning, Scheduling, Payroll, Training, and Crew Members)Responsibilities: • Extensively worked on production support for crew scheduling application. • Involved in Transition Phase from the start of this project.• Involved in analyzing the root cause of the issues arising in production and its probable solutions.• Responsible for coordinating and extending support to team member as and when they need it.• Work on the enhancements and bug fixes for recurring issues.• Interacted with the customer for requirement gathering.• Monitor files availability for the application. Monitoring the services are up and running.• Monitor for successful completion of batch jobs on daily basis.• Deploying the services and applications to servers.Environment: Java 1.5, Web sphere, struts, hibernate,Ant, RAD, Subversion, Microsoft Visio, Xml, Xslt, Oracle 11g, PL/SQL, JMS, and Unix
