ABOUT MOHAMMED KAROLIA
I am an Assistant Structural Engineer at AtkinsRéalis, working within the Building Structures team based in the Leeds office. I joined AtkinsRéalis in September 2023 after graduating with First Class (Honours) Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Leeds. So far, I have worked on a variety of building design projects across the UK, for national and local clients. Recently I have worked on the Mukaab (New Murabba Development Company) megaproject located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia within a UK based team. I am currently working towards chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers, and I have recently won the ICE Yorkshire & Humber Emerging Engineer Award 2025. I have also passed the APM PFQ exam, giving me a basis of knowledge in project management. Previously, I have completed summer placements with the Atkins Building Structures team in 2022, and Eurovia (VINCI) in 2021. I am also a Commissioned Officer in the British Army Reserve (Royal Engineers), having graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
