ABOUT MOHAMMED FATADE

Building Physics & Sustainability Consultant with 10+ years of experience delivering low‑carbon, high‑performance buildings across the UK. I specialise in translating complex building physics into practical, commercially viable strategies that drive measurable environmental and operational outcomes.As lead author of the energy statement for Docks 3–5, Space City Leicester, I helped achieve net zero carbon performance and a 101% reduction in regulated CO₂ emissions, contributing to the project winning the Insider Media East Midlands Property Award for Sustainability.I combine analytical rigour with pragmatic design solutions to deliver thermally comfortable, low-energy buildings. My expertise spans steady-state and dynamic thermal modelling (DTM) using tools such as IES and advanced Excel, enabling design teams and clients to make informed, performance-driven decisions. I guide projects from early-stage energy masterplanning through to detailed design, ensuring sustainability ambitions are both achievable and commercially viable.Beyond consultancy, I contribute to the profession as a Guest Tutor at De Montfort University and an active member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists Climate Change Group, sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and advancing best practice in low-carbon building design.
