As a Maintenance Technician with York Property Management, I am responsible for maintaining and repairing residential units and common areas to ensure tenant satisfaction and building safety. My role covers a wide range of tasks including:Plumbing: Repairing and installing piping systems (PEX, PVC, ABS, copper, PPR), fixing leaks, unclogging drains, installing faucets, toilets, and water heaters, performing pressure tests, and ensuring all work meets code and safety standards.Electrical: Replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, and troubleshooting basic electrical issues.Carpentry: Repairing doors, frames, cabinets, and other wooden structures, as well as minor framing and finish work.Drywall and Painting: Patching, sanding, and finishing drywall; preparing and painting interiors and exteriors with attention to clean, high-quality finishes.Flooring: Installing and repairing ceramic tiles, laminate, vinyl, and hardwood flooring, ensuring proper leveling and alignment.Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine inspections of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and building structures to identify issues before they escalate.Customer Service: Responding quickly and professionally to tenant requests and emergencies, maintaining respectful communication and clean work areas.Teamwork & Coordination: Working closely with property managers, contractors, and other technicians to ensure all work orders are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
