Mohammed attended Middlesex University and was called to the Bar in 2002.At the Bar Mohammed has established a strong criminal practice specialising in defending cases in the crown court with an emphasis on three main themes, gangland violence, importation and exportation of drugs. There have been many highlights during a lengthy and enjoyable career, some of which are detailed below. A unique and landmark case involving Civil and Criminal Contempt.R v Adenigbagbe June - July 2014 Bristol Crown Court - Operation Anthill. Acquittal after a 7 week trial of a Clearing Agent allegedly involved in an International Conspiracy to import drugs. The case involved phone tapping and lengthy covert surveillance.R v Bromfield November 2014 Central Criminal Court - Multi Handed murder arising out of the sale of drugs between rival gangs.R v David Phillips September 2015 - Truro Crown Court, represented the Defendant in a high profile violent crime involving acid and the imposition of a life OF APPEAL CASESR v Fallon April 2016 - Successful reduction in sentence involving submissions on the correct approach to written bases of pleas, offender mitigation and credit by crown court judgesR v Phillips April 2016 - Successful appeal against the sentence of Truro Crown Courts incorrect imposition of an indeterminate life sentence when the correct sentence should have been a determinate v Jareth Richards July 2016 - Successful appeal against sentence dealing with the correct approach to concurrent and consecutive sentences in line with the principles of totality and credit to be applied.
