Attending meeting with Owner (Principle Client), PMC team, Consultant team. Understand and apply NBC, Indian Electrical Act, Indian Electrical Code, NEC, NFPA, and other local and international codes. Studying the IFC drawings provided by consultant/owner and finding out gaps/missing elements / missing information /discrepancies, etc in the drawings which are required for execution, but not shown on drawing. Review of documents/drawings/model w.r.t. constructability, buildability & any interface related design issues. Raising RFI for any queries to client & getting clarified in view of resolving any ambiguity in design/drawings or for any missing data. Electrical design elements i.e. LV / MV Distribution and single line drawings, Earthing and bonding, Lighting, Cable management system, Building power designs, Load estimation, Fire alarm, security, BMS and DG systems. Review of documents/drawings prepared by engineer/designer and ensure compliance in all respects in line with contractual or relevant standards before issue. Review of vendor design documents & drawings to meet employer requirements, specifications & getting the approval of same from client. Review of vendor related shop drawings w.r.t. Consultant drawings. Supporting revit modeler for development of model & delivery of shop drawings. Review of 3D Models being prepared by revit modellers on Navisworks, for correctness and clash resolutions with other disciplines, Coordination with other discipline & vendor related works so as not to have any clash or mistakes or missing in shop drawings Follow-up/discussion with vendor for timely deliverable of their respective documents, drawings, technical submittal, material approval submission etc which shall allow site. Providing inputs to 3D Modelling team, for updates of site decisions, modification being done, or site conditions, for implementing corrections in 3D model.

I currently Design Systems required for Building Services for MEP Company, where I have been working in the electrical engineering department for 11 years. As such I have a good grasp of the design of both high and low voltage systems. I conduct feasibility studies, test installations and systems analyze the data and draw up the plans and specifications for projects using computer-assisted engineering and design software. I use MS Office & Excel desktop applications to help with producing reports on estimating materials such as construction, labour costs, and assessing project timescales and making sure all projects meet electrical and construction safety regulations and relevant IE, IS & international standards, codes of practice and procedures. I possess a degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, am familiar with AutoCAD, BIM and Bluebeam.
