Application Maintenance: Responsible for maintaining and enhancing Java Spring Boot applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. Feature Implementation: Collaborating with the business team to design and implement new features, delivering solutions aligned with business requirements. Bug Fixes and Optimization: Identifying and resolving issues within the applications, optimizing performance, and improving code quality to ensure seamless operation. Code Modernization: Continuously rewriting and optimizing legacy code spanning decades to improve efficiency, modularity, readability, and future scalability. This is an ongoing effort due to the size and complexity of the codebase. Documentation: Updating and creating comprehensive documentation for Java Spring Boot applications to facilitate easier understanding, onboarding, and knowledge transfer for team members. On-Call Support and Deployments: Participating in an on-call rotation, providing production support and handling deployments. Each developer serves on call for one week every eight weeks, ensuring minimal downtime and swift issue resolution. Cross-Team Collaboration: Assisting other teams interacting with our applications by resolving dependencies, providing technical support, and ensuring smooth integrations. Technologies being used- Java spring boot and C language- MySQL and MongoDB- Redis, Apache Kafka and AWS- Rest API’s, XML and JSON
