WORK HISTORY
Researcher @Salk Institute for Biological Studies
I received my PhD from the ECE department at UC San Diego. My research is on fundamental problems of learning and memory at Sejnowski Lab at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. I use information theory and statistical inference to distinguish signal from noise in different domains. Focus of my research is on connectomics. We have access to the world leading electron microscopy labs to obtain dense three-dimensional reconstruction of serial section electron microscopy (3DEM) from the hippocampal area CA1 and DG in rat and visual cortex in mice. Data comes from Professor Kristen M Harris\'s Lab at UT Austin and the Allen Brain Institute.
