ABOUT MOHAMMAD WAZNE
At CNRS, my research explores the role of infiltration basins in mitigating urban pollutants and their effects on groundwater and aquatic organisms. Building on a strong foundation in environmental toxicology, I integrate ecohydrology and freshwater ecology to study pollutant dynamics and their ecological consequences. With over five years of experience in environmental research (groundwater, aquatic, & terrestrial), my work spans ecological processes, contaminant–matrix interactions, and environmental risk assessment. The overarching goal is to generate knowledge that supports evidence-based strategies for ecosystem protection while advancing the scientific understanding of pollutant behavior in natural systems.
